Edimpact to Create a Digital Revolution in Rural India with Their Solar Powered Android Tablets

EDIMPACT has showcased the concept of using Solar Powered Android Tablets to drive the growth of the Rural India that is deprived of electricity and internet connectivity, in general.

Hyderabad, India; 12, July 2016: India is a vast nation with the majority of the rural portions still deprived of electricity and internet connectivity. The absence of adequate power sources is the reason behind the digital divide among the rural and urban masses and which can be seen as an impediment on the way of the realization of the dream of the Digital India.

Sensing the urgent need of empowering the rural population with the digital technologies, Hyderabad based EDIMPACT has conceptualized the solar powered android tablets with a solar powered OUTERNET satellite receiver, which will create a new digital revolution in the rural India. A pilot study has already been conducted in the states of Jharkhand and Bihar, with encouraging response from the rural masses as well as all the stakeholders. The concept has also been appreciated by USA based investors and technology partners, and they are to fully support this innovative program.

The concept is the brainchild of Jharkhand based entrepreneur Mr. Sanwill Srivastava, who believes in bringing transformative changes using technology. As the Founder and CEO of EDIMPACT, Mr. Srivastava is very hopeful about the success of the program. He said that he was very happy with the fact that his idea has been recognized at a global platform and also thanked the partners for their support. He said he will recruit the best minds from India that can bring a Revolution in Digital India.

According to Mr. Srivastava, the first round of technical presentations has been successful and he also has a revenue model up his sleeve. The technical team of EDIMPACT will be trained in Wisconsin based training center for 6 weeks from Sep 2016. Initially starting with the two states where the conventional sources of electricity are very scarce, particularly in the rural areas, Mr. Srivastava has plans to extend the program in other parts of the country too.
